MANAGEMENT TEAM
Joe R. Rollinson - Chief Executive Officer
SpeedEOrder was Mr. Rollinson's brainchild.
Before SpeedEOrder, Mr. Rollinson was in charge of all
customer data, billing systems and financial data for Yahoo! Website
Services and Yahoo! Domains, based in San Diego.
Under his charge these systems grew 3000% over 5 years,
processing $24 million in billing and 1% of the world's domains. He also
served on the management
team that succeeded in achieving a $1 million revenue-per-employee ratio.
Before that, Mr. Rollinson worked as an engineer and billing manager for Simple Network
Communications, Inc. (SimpleNet.com). As one of the original
employees, he helped build SimpleNet into a thriving company that was
sold in November of 1998 for $21 million to Broadcast.com. He
continued on with Broadcast.com until it was acquired by Yahoo! for
$5.7 billion in April of 1999.
Sander van Zoest - Chief Technology Officer
Mr. van Zoest lead the design and implementation of SpeedEOrder's
pioneering platform. Mr. van Zoest has held several senior
positions at top technology companies such as MP3.com, Covalent
Technologies and Yahoo! Communications. Prior to joining SpeedEOrder, Mr. van Zoest
lead and directed engineers at Yahoo! in integrating and migrating San
Diego's remote properties into Yahoo's corporate headquarters. At
Covalent technologies, Mr. van Zoest focused his efforts on cutting
edge research projects in the areas of High Availability Server
Clustering, Proxies, RTSP/RTP streaming and XML/XSLT. He has also
worked as a technical consultant, analyzing web architectures and
performance for Fortune 500 clients such as Bear Stearns and the Wall
Street Journal. In 1998 he joined MP3.com as a founding
engineer, and helped scale the companies infrastructure leading
up to its $344 million IPO.
David Romero - Chief Operating Officer
With over 10 years of management experience in the Food and Beverage
industry, Mr. Romero was invaluable in the development of the
SpeedEOrder system. As General Manager of a popular coffee house and bistro in
downtown San Diego, Mr. Romero was able to conduct trials measuring
the effectiveness of the SpeedEOrder system from both the restaurant
and customer perspectives. His operations experience was instrumental
in creating a system that is easy to setup and maintain, with minimal
training and support. As a former sound engineer, Mr. Romero has also played an
important part in the development of SpeedEOrder's audio/phone interface.
